ティアーズ・フォー・フィアーズ(Tears for Fears)はイギリスの2人組バンド。1980年代に数々のヒット曲を放った。初期はシンセサイザーを多用しながらアコースティックな印象すら与えるたおやかな音使いをしており、当時流行したエレポップと呼ばれる音楽性の範疇にありながら、歌詞の繊細さとよくマッチしたサウンド・メイクが特徴となっている。やがてローランド・オーザバルのギターサウンドを核に、王道とも呼べる良質なブリティッシュ・ロックを聞かせるバンド・サウンドへと変化していく。
